EducationUSA Advising Center in Almaty opened in October, 2010. Based at American Councils for International Education we offer a variety of face-to-face and virtual advising services to students and educators interested in learning about U.S. higher education. All services are free and include: regularly scheduled introductory presentations on 5 Steps to U.S. study; group and one-on-one consultations; test preparation reference books; diagnostic TOEFL and SAT; regular scholarships and financial aid opportunities updates; pre-departure orientation and intensive preparation summer workshops. EducationUSA Club
Description: EducationUSA Club helps the best and brightest students apply to competitive U.S. colleges and universities. EducationUSA Club adviser work intensively to prepare students for the application process. EducationUSA Club adviser organize student activities including study groups, intensive SAT preparation, reading assignments, lectures, and community service projects. Eligibility Requirements: EducationUSA Club are open to students in grades 8-11 who are in the top 10% of their class and considering to apply to the undergraduate program in the U.S.A.
EducationUSA Module Group
Description: EducationUSA Module Group is focused on students who consider to apply to the graduate programs in the U.S. higher institutions. EducationUSA Module Group has several informative presentations and lessons that help students to apply to graduate programs in the U.S. Interested students should contact EucationUSA Adviser via email or phone call.

EducationUSA Opportunity Funds
Description: The EducationUSA Opportunity Funds program assists highly qualified students who are likely to be awarded full financial aid from U.S. colleges and universities but lack the financial resources to cover the up-front costs of obtaining admission, such as testing, application fees, or airfare. Each Opportunity student undergoes a selective process of evaluation by an EducationUSA adviser, regional educational advising coordinator (REAC), and the Public Affairs Section of a U.S. embassy. In addition to academic abilities, Opportunity students bring cultural and socio-economic diversity to U.S. campuses. More than 100 colleges and universities have enrolled Opportunity students since 2006. For more information contact EducationUSA adviser via email or phone call.

Program Highlights

EducationUSA Fall Fair 2017
Description: From October 7 to 14, the EducationUSA advising center held an educational exhibition of American higher education institutions in the cities of Astana, Shymkent and Almaty. 24 accredited universities including 2-year community colleges took part in the exhibition. These higher educational institutions were with the higher cost of education, which are included in the list of leading US universities and with affordable tuition fees, which have an average ranking among the US universities.
