EducationUSA Burma

To help students who are planning to go and study in the United States, the following services are offered at the EducationUSA Advising Center located at the American Center.

Student advising services are offered on a one-on-one basis every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 8:30 am and 11:30 am. Handouts or reference books are given out occasionally depending on the availability of materials and needs of the students.

A monthly "Study in the USA Informational Session" takes place and no registration fee is needed for attending the sessions.  Announcements for the info session and scholarship opportunities can be found onhttp://www.facebook.com/educationusaburma

Standardized tests such as the Test of English as a Foreign Language(TOEFL), and Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) are administered at the American Center.

EducationUSA SEA Fairs are hosted by EducationUSA advising centers, with support from U.S. Embassies and in coordination with the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, Department of State, Washington, D.C. The EducationUSA university fair is the largest fair in Burma and boasted high attendance last year in both Rangoon and Mandalay.
