Internships abroad are popular and highly sought after, but also require long-term and intensive preparation. Those who would rather not resort to expensive placement agencies can, with a little effort, arrange an internship themselves. This, of course, is considerably easier if one has trusted advisory services and sources of information. In a short presentation, Shawn Huelle (educationUSA adviser to the Carl-Schurz-Haus) and Annika Claßen (educationUSA Student Ambassador) describe the most important steps for placement in English-speaking countries and give tips on finding an internship, and overcoming visa issues and other obstacles. There will be plenty of time for questions, and participants will also receive a handout with further information and links.
