Dean’s International Scholar Award

The Dean’s International Scholar Award (DISA) is offered to first time undergraduate and graduate (excluding doctoral) students in the School of Computing and Engineering. The DISA is a renewable award that covers a large portion of the difference between Missouri resident and non-resident fees. All applicants meeting the following criteria are automatically considered for a DISA: •Application as a first time student in the School of Computing and Engineering •Submitted transcripts showing a minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale •Minimum TOEFL score of 85 iBT or IELTS score of 6.0 (for graduate/MS programs in computer science and electrical engineering) or 79 iBT or IELTS score of 6.0 (for all other programs), unless you are exempt from the English proficiency test • Nomination from the corresponding UMKC academic unit •Additional SCE criteria, such as GRE scores for graduate applicants
