U.S. higher education professionals may volunteer to present at EducationUSA webinar sessions produced either in Washington, D.C. or at our hundreds of centers globally.
Volunteer for Webinars
Webinar sessions typically focus on a topic from EducationUSA's Your 5 Steps to U.S. Study. Past topics highlighted researching U.S. universities, applying for financial aid, writing admissions essays, and the like.
If you are interested in volunteering, request a login and check the webinar box in your user profile. When looking for webinar speakers, EducationUSA staff read profiles and reach out to users directly, using your contact details. However, if interested in assisting with a webinar in a specific country please feel free to reach out to the advising center directly. All EducationUSA centers globally have access to an online webinar platform. EducationUSA set up country rooms for this platform to maximize crowdsourcing of sessions from multiple centers.
EducationUSA Interactive - Study in the USA
EducationUSA in Washington, D.C. produces an ongoing webinar series in the State Department's professional television studio. The sessions are translated into multiple language simultaneously and in real time. International students watch the session and engage in conversation via chatrooms dedicated by language.
U.S. Embassies and EducationUSA centers participate in the live interactive sessions and feed questions via teleprompter to the studio panel in real-time. Due to the complicated technical nature of this program, invited speakers join the session in the Washington studio.
