There are several ways you can do this:
- Visiting an EducationUSA advising center near you
- Taking part in an online webinar through the EducationUSA network
- Attending a student information fair in-person or online
- Refer to college and university websites
- Use search engines
Almost every college and university in the United States has a website with detailed information about degree programs, application procedures, academic departments, on-campus facilities, and other topics. You can often find a copy of the course catalog online.
Many independent websites also allow you to search for institutions by your subject of interest, geographic preference, or by other criteria that you specify. Students should review each website to ensure that the search engine includes all accredited U.S. higher education institutions. Here are two for starters:
If you cannot visit the United States, colleges and universities may come to visit you by attending an education fair. Most fairs take place during the spring or fall. You will want to start your research early – the year before you intend to begin your studies.
