The center provides a variety of educational services, including free introductory public information sessions on various topics of U.S. education, webinars, individual consultations on U.S. study, and application support services. It also provides logistical support to accredited U.S. higher education institutions on recruitment in Nicaragua as well as supports open public events such as presentations and fairs to promote exchange opportunities, working closely with the local educational community.
Our host, Centro Cultural Nicaraguense Norteamericano, (CCNN) was founded in 1942 to serve as a cultural bridge between the people of Nicaragua and the United States of America. The CCNN operated a prestigious language school for thirty years and produced a generation of English speakers, many of whom went on to offer leadership in business and the community. In January 2014, CCNN opened a new campus in the Colonia Villa Tiscapa area of Managua which is available for use by the community for events and programs. With a 200 seat multiuse studio theater, an outdoor stage, an exhibition area, food services area, language laboratories and classrooms, the CCNN will serve as an excellent venue for: conferences, performing arts events, cultural festivals, exhibitions and displays and education programs.
