It also provides logistical support to accredited U.S. higher education institutions on recruitment in Mexico as well as supports open public events such as presentations and fairs to promote exchange opportunities, working closely with the local educational community. Our host, Secretaría de Educación y Cultura del Estado de Sonora is the State’s Education Ministry and oversees all public education programs in the state. Our center office is within the Ministry for Higher Education (Subsecretaría de Educación Media Superior y Superior) which is located in a historic building that was once a military precinct built in 1909. The good results we have had during the two years the center has been operating have been due to the good relation between our host institution and Education USA.
