The SAM program is designed to support Ukrainian high school students planning to apply to U.S. universities in Fall 2026. Each student is matched with a U.S. college or graduate student who acts as a mentor throughout the admissions process. Mentors provide guidance on selecting universities, writing essays, preparing for standardized tests, and navigating application steps. The program runs from August to January and includes regular communication between mentors and mentees. This is a meaningful opportunity for U.S.-based students to make a real impact and develop cross-cultural connections.
Mentor Requirements:
● U.S. citizen
● Enrolled university student
● Receiving financial aid
● Willing to volunteer up to 8 hours/month
● Attend a mandatory online training in August
