The United States Embassy in Saudi Arabia announces applications are now open for the Quincy Competitive College Club, an intensive cohort-advising program that assists Saudi citizens ages 16 and up in becoming competitive applicants to U.S. colleges and universities.
Participants in the Quincy Competitive College Club will engage in lectures, book clubs, community service activities, cross-cultural exercises and test preparation. By the end of the year-long program, participants will determine which schools might be a good fit as they approach college application season.
The program is open to current high school students ages 16 and up, as well as adults who are interested in earning a college degree in the United States. Those who have already earned a college degree are also eligible to apply.
To apply for the Quincy Competitive College Club, applicants must:
- Be 16 years of age or older.
- Have a desire to attend college in the United States.
- Have an interest in earning a college or university degree in the following disciplines: entertainment, music, art, architecture, fashion design, theatre, filmmaking, museum studies, literature, writing, visual arts, culinary arts, or a related field.
- Be a citizen of Saudi Arabia currently residing in the Kingdom
- Have an intermediate proficiency in English.
- Be highly academically achieving.
The application requires a copy of school transcripts, a written personal statement about academic and career goals, and a short video submission showcasing your talents, personality, and achievements.
