American Advising Center - Kosovo

The EducationUSA advising center in Kosovo is located at the Faculty of Education, University Pof Prishtina "Hasan Prishtina".  It is a full-service advising center which is also a testing center on a full range of academic tests.  The center offers information and services to students who are seeking undergraduate, graduate, or short-degree program options.  It also looks forward to working more closely with U.S. higher education institutions who are interested in meeting students from Kosovo.

Competitive College Club - College Prep Club
Description: The EducationUSA Kosovo College Prep Club (CPC) is a cohort group advising program that assists high school students who want to be strong applicants to U.S.  Colleges and Universities.  Students  meet year round and  participate  in many  activities,  such  as: lectures,  book  clubs,  community  service  activities,  cross cultural exercises, and  test  preparation.  The  activities  help  ensure  that  students  are  properly  advised  as they go through the process of preparing themselves both academically and socially for a U.S. college or university, and work to determine which schools might be a good fit.
Eligibility Requirements: Who can join CPC? -           Students grade 11th and 12th  -           Students with functional level of English -           Students with cumulative grade point average of 4.5 (or 3.5) and above -           Students that are interested in Undergraduate – Bachelor – Studies in the USA

Program Highlights

PREP ACADEMY.
Description: American Advising Center (AAC) - EducationUSA Kosovo in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy in Pristina, Kosovo, implemented a project called PREP ACADEMY. Empowering young people in Kosovo, special focus on women, ethnic minorities and LGBTI community members, by providing them with free conversational and writing English language courses and professional career guidance and academic advising. The project started on September 2016 -June 2017 and took place in Mamusha and Prishtina.
EdUSA Teachers Academy
Description: In November 2017 EdUSA KS- AAC, launched the EdUSA Teachers Academy, teacher’s training accredited by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MEST) for the professional development and licensing of teachers. The accredited training are: 1. Advising for Studying in the USA and Scholarships, 2. TOEFL/SAT English, and 3. Preparation for SAT Math.
EducationUSA University Fair
Description: The first – ever EducationUSA University Fair was organized in Kosovo by the EducationsUSA Advising Center Kosovo, EdUSA Network, and the U.S. Embassy in Pristina. The representatives of 14 universities/colleges from the states presented their academic programs and scholarship opportunities to interested students and scholars from Kosovo. The second EducationUSA University Fair was held on April 3rd, 2017 and 10 representatives from different universities/colleges were participants.
