EducationUSA Advising Center - Kampala

The EducationUSA Advising Center at the American Center under the U.S Embassy serves prospective students wishing to study in the U.S from across Uganda by providing them with accurate, comprehensive, and current information about the higher education system in the United States. This entails advising and providing information on appropriate colleges and universities, scholarship opportunities and other financial aid resources needed for studying in the United States. The center also provides information about tests, testing procedures and accreditation information of US Higher Education Institutions.

Friday Group sessions
Description: Join a team of EducationUSA advisers at the American Center every Friday at 11:00 a.m to get accurate, comprehensive and current information on U.S. Higher Education System and general information on the application process for studying in the USA. Prospective students to study in the USA shall be taken through five steps to apply and study in the USA, oriented on how to apply for scholarships and will also have an opportunity to ask individual questions.

Program Highlights

Monthly Webinar series.
Description: EducationUSA Kampala hosts admissions counselors from US Higher Education Institutions to provide propsective students with accurate and current information on applying and studying in respective schools. The counselors speak about their individual institutions: the application process, selection criteria and the importance of extra curricula activities.
Home grown College and University Fair
Description: EducationUSA Kampala will be hosting a home grown college fair that will be mainly facilitated by American Officers and Locally employed Staff of the U.S Mission in Uganda to talk about their alma matters. This event is due for March 23 2024 at the American center in Kampala. Prospective students and their school counselors shall be invited.
